About us

Bloom Nursery is a dynamic indoor-outdoor nursery in N10, just steps from Highgate Woods, Queen’s Woods, and Parkland Walk. We seamlessly blend nature with learning, offering children the chance to explore and connect with their environment.

Our Nursery Director’s journey to early years education was inspired by the birth of her first child. After working in a Pupil Referral Unit and later in real estate, she discovered her true calling in early years education. Wanting to be more present for her son, she completed an Early Years PGCE at the globally renowned Institute of Education, UCL, and began teaching in various settings. Her time at Rainbow Nursery in Tufnell Park, under the mentorship of Claire Richmond, provided invaluable experience alongside a team of dedicated teachers and educators.

Following the sale of Rainbow Nursery, our Director trained as a Forest School Teacher with The Garden Classroom, under the guidance of Richard Skrein. Her personal experiences, combined with her professional passion, led to the creation of Bloom Nursery—a place where children truly thrive.

The Director has carefully curated a team of highly qualified educators, specialising in early years and forest school, to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children aged 1.5 to 5 years. (Younger children may be accepted depending on staffing; please enquire for details.) Our staff are well-compensated and work reasonable hours—not 10-hour days—ensuring they can provide the best care and education.

Our Ethos

Family Collaboration

We partner with families to provide flexible child care solutions that meet both the needs of the child and the family. With seamless transitions between nursery and home, including vetted nannies, we ensure children receive consistent, high-quality care. This partnership aligns with our belief that a holistic approach is needed in order to curate care and education for the unique child.

Nurturing Environment with Dedicated Staff

Every child is seen, heard, and understood in a warm, caring space created by highly ethical employment and working standards. We understand the importance of staff as role models, who nurture confidence, individuality, and emotional growth through respectful, supportive relationships with children and families. Our holistic approach means that we consider the whole child when assigning key people and when interacting with each child daily.

Child-Led Learning
We encourage children to explore their natural curiosity and take the lead in their learning, both indoors and outdoors, by nurturing their independence and growth. Our holistic approach acknowledges the entirety of a child's development, and the opportunities we provide foster emotional, social and physical growth simultaneously.

Sustainability & Nature

Nature is integral to our approach, teaching children resilience, creativity, and a deep respect for the environment through eco-friendly practices.
